Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Every mom-to-be dreams of a glowing pregnancy that results in a happy, healthy baby. At Lutheran, we understand that life doesn't always go as planned. If you or your unborn baby are at risk or require closer observation, our maternal-fetal specialists are here to care for you throughout your pregnancy, during delivery and after you take your little one home.

Your baby deserves the best care possible. That’s why Lutheran has a Level IIIA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on-site to care for critically ill or premature babies. The security of having your baby nearby is comforting when he or she needs special care and support.

Our NICU has 10 private and semi-private suites with 24-hour access to our specially trained team of neonatologists, pediatric hospitalists and pediatricians. Additionally, we have a neonatal nurse practitioner on duty at all times. You are always able to visit and participate in the care of your baby. If you plan to breastfeed your baby, our nurses and lactation consultants can give you the support and encouragement you need.
